TOPIC: Aspiring Audaciously – The 4 Immeasurables
The Four Immeasurables (loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity) are the wildest aspiration there is: may all beings be happy and free from suffering, and may I help to bring that about. But held too tightly, each one becomes its own kind of pain. Love gets clingy, compassion fatigues into despair, joy gets giddy and untethered, and equanimity goes cold. We’ll move through all four as a turning wheel, where each one catches the last and keeps us moving along, warm and open and alive.
Join in for a 1-hr live practice session guided by Lama Tasha.
Each month, we get together to practice on the full moon – a time that’s considered auspicious for practice, contemplation, and ritual in traditions around the world.
During the Session: Find a spot where you can be uninterrupted for one hour. Bring whatever makes you feel comfy – cushions, blankets, chair, incense, candles – whatever.
Tech Stuff: To cultivate community, I encourage you to turn your camera on. Bad hair days, crappy lighting, messy rooms, and rambunctious pets are all part of the vibe. Of course, if this isn’t possible, your presence is appreciated either way. Please mute yourself on entry.
